Customer Logistics Supervisor

Reporting in most cases to a Customer Logistics Manager or a Logistics Manager, the Customer Logistics Supervisor (CLS) will oversee the day-to-day operations within an assigned function.

The CLS is primarily responsible for the leadership of direct reports, as well as the attainment of daily operational goals within his/her assigned functional area.

Additional Responsibilities include:

. Performance Management (of Direct Reports)

- Goal setting, skills assessment, IDPs, career development, performance evaluation, on-going employee feedback

- Disciplinary actions

. Warning Documentation (Performance Disciplinary Form)

. Risk Associated Behavior Documentation to drivers/WH

. Performance Improvement Plans for CLC

. Supervision

- Higher level communication with CLC and drivers (e.g., HR Dependent Audit, Not Paid Report, Not Trained Report, Personnel File Audit)

- Timely execution of Terminations and Exit Interviews through HR Compliance Coordinator

. Developing Direct Reports

- New Employee Training

- Current Employee Training

. Monthly Safety Meetings

. Assign OTJ opportunities

. Employee Relations / Issue Resolution

- Driver of the Month selection in conjunction with CLC

. Quality Assurance

- Recommend location process initiation and/or improvement

. Administrative duties

- Manual Invoice Preparation (e.g., trailer rentals to common carriers, pass through to customer (e.g., EZPass, Fuel)

- Approve RD 2000 driver pay reports

. Customer Satisfaction / Problem Resolution

- KPI Tracking and improvement

. Productivity within functional area

. Safety Management & Reporting

- Collision/Team Safety Reporting

- Supervisor First Report of Injury Reporting

- Review STAR

- Conduct Safety Meetings in conjunction with CLC

- DOT Log review Prior to submission

. P/L Responsibility

- Equipment Reconciliation

- Outside Driver/Temporary Employee Reconciliation

Education/Experience/Skills/Required Qualifications:

Associates degree or equivalent experience is required with a preference to have a Bachelors degree. One to three years experience in logistics, transportation, warehouse or industry related field is required. Must possess excellent written, verbal, organizational and leadership skills. Proficiency in MS Office is necessary.
