Geographic Information System (GIS) Technician

DESCRIPTION
The Southwest Georgia Regional Development Center, serving 14 counties, is seeking qualified applicants for the position of GIS Technician.

Responsibilities include using ArcGis 9.x software to prepare and maintain a wide variety of mapping and database needs and using Trimble GPS equipment and software to collect, manage, and manipulate data.

REQUIREMENTS
Applicants need to be highly responsible individuals with the ability to complete work independently, skilled in ESRI mapping software as well as AutoCad, Microsoft Excel, Access, Publisher and other office related software.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor as Degree in Geography or closely related field or equivalent experience.
