Pilgrim's Pride is seeking a Corporate PSM Manager for our East Texas or ATL, GA location. A Corporate PSM Manager is responsible for performing the following duties within his/her area of responsibility:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conducting PSM / RMP Compliance Audit, write report and following recommendations for each facility within region at least every three years.
- Leading and documenting a Process Hazards Analysis, writing reports and following recommendations for each Ammonia refrigeration, chlorine gas injection and sulfur dioxide gas injection system within region at least every 5 years.
- Leading the PSM teams at each site within region to follow up and help resolve all PSM / RMP recommendations and other related issues.
- Participating at sites within region that are undergoing OSHA PSM or EPA RMP audits.
- Participating / Leading all Incident Investigations of reported Ammonia, Chlorine or Sulfur Dioxide leaks for all sites within region.
- Helping sites within region continually improve their PSM / RMP programs.
- Keeping up on all new refrigeration codes and standards.
- Participating as knowledgeable engineer for Process Hazards Analyses for other sites outside of region.
- Tracking and up dating all Process Safety Information any time there is a change to the systems.
- Helping sites with ammonia refrigeration projects less than $500,000 as required.
Qualifications:
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in Ammonia Refrigeration preferred.
- Use of Auto CAD a plus.
- English/Spanish bi-lingual strong plus.
- Basic knowledge of the operations of Ammonia Refrigeration / Thermodynamic systems.
- Ability to complete engineering calculations for ammonia inventory, relief valve design basis, load and energy balances, ventilation requirements and releases.
- Ability to read and interpret Piping and Instrument and Block Flow diagrams.
- PHA Leader training and experience a plus.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals professionally.
- Ability to effectively present information and to effectively communicate issues to upper management.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Detailed oriented and self motivated.
- Proven project management and change management skills.
- Ability to apply and interpret regulatory standards and consensus standards to situations not specifically addressed by the standards.
- Demonstrated ability to respond to crises in an effective and timely manner.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors/Masters degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or related field.
