seeks two experienced airport professionals to become members of the executive team of the Department of Aviation.

Assistant Director Capital Program Development This Assistant Director will have primary responsibility for coordination and management of the anticipated $800 million Love Field Modernization Program, Automated People Mover, and the ongoing Capital Improvement Program for the Department of Aviation. The successful candidate will possess a degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field, and professional accreditation in significant and progressively responsible project development and management experience with a full-service commercial airport required. The position is appointed by the City Manager and reports to the Director of Aviation.

Assistant Director Business, Finance, and Administration This Assistant Director will have primary responsibility for Departmental finance, business development, and administrative services. The successful candidate will possess a degree in Finance, Business Administration, Public Administration, Airport Management, or related field with a master as degree preferred. The position is appointed by the City Manager and reports to the Director of Aviation.

The Department of Aviation consists of a commercial airport (Love Field), three carriers serving 8 million passengers annually, a general aviation airport (Dallas Executive Airport), and Dallas Downtown Veriport. The Department of Aviation has a $40 million annual budget with 150 FTE employees. The successful candidate for either position must possess demonstrated leadership abilities, excellent oral and written skills, in-depth knowledge of airport operations and airport management. Must also have a demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the business and aviation community, elected and appointed officials, airline representatives, as well as various employee groups. Starting salary range: $90,000 to $115,000 per year plus excellent benefits; final salary and compensation negotiable. Please submit credentials and references promptly for consideration.
