VP/AVP, Branch Manager

Job Duties:

1. Direct and control the business development, customer service and operational functions within the branch to ensure growth and profitability of the branch based on financial performance forecasts.
2. Primarily focus on retaining banking relationships and developing new business for the Bank, for both retail banking and commercial lending.
3. Ensure branch compliance with the Bank as policies and procedures.
4. Plans, develops, establishes and controls assigned organization and budget functions.
5. Recommends hires, transfers, terminations, salary adjustments, performance standards, and reviews. Approves employee daily time record, work assignments, vacations, sick pay, etc. Executes employee relations, training and affirmative action policies.


Basic Requirements:

1. College degree with major in finance, accounting, or business-related disciplines preferred.
2. Minimum 5 years of banking experience including 2 years of branch management in a commercial bank, 2 years branch operations and 1 year commercial lending. Lending experience should include commercial R/E, commercial business loans/lines of credit, SBA, apartment and 1-4 mortgage loans and experience in commercial loan underwriting.
3. Solid retail banking experience.
4. Thorough knowledge of federal, state and IRS regulations.
5. Excellent interpersonal, professional, verbal & written communication skills.
6. Ability to plan, organize, motivate, supervise, and delegate.
7. Ability to make decisions and assume responsibility for the decisions.
8. Ability to exercise sound judgment and create team environment.
9. Bilingual in English and Chinese/Vietnamese a plus.
